You can apply for AADHAAR Card correction online as well as by post. Following correction are allowed in AADHAAR Card:

To apply for AADHAAR Card correction online, you must have a mobile number, as One Time Password (OTP) will be sent to that mobile number. If you have not registered your mobile number at the time of enrollment, you will be asked to provide one to receive OTP. If you no longer have your registered mobile number, you will have to visit nearest AADHAAR Card Update Center or send your AADHAAR Card change request through post. Also, if you are unable to locate the required Pincode/Village/Town/City/Post Office/District/State or finding it difficult to translate the details in local language online, you may send your change request by post.
For making AADHAAR Card correction online, click here. Enter your 12 digit AADHAAR Card number and the displayed Text Verification code and click on “Send OTP” button.
If the entered details are valid, you will be sent an OTP (One Time Password) on your registered Mobile number through SMS. Once you receive the SMS, enter the OTP in the "Enter received OTP" box in the next displayed screen and click on "Login" button.
The next screen shows tick mark options to change Name, Gender, Date of Birth, Address and Mobile Number in the AADHAAR Card. Check mark boxes against the items which needs to be changed in the AADHAAR Card and click on "Submit" button.
In the next screen enter the corrections in English as well as your local language and click on "Submit Update Request" button. The next screen will show your entered corrections and will ask you to confirm the same. If you made any mistakes, click on "Modify" button to go back to the corrections page. If all looks good, confirm by tick marking "I confirm..." statement and click on "Proceed" button.
The next screen will ask you to upload self attested supporting documents copies for the requested AADHAAR Card correction. To self attest documents copies, mention your name and sign / provide thumbprint. For children below five years, parent / guardian can fill and sign / provide thumbprint in supporting documents copies. Also mention your AADHAAR Card number on each self attested supporting documents copies. Maximum size allowed for each digital document file is 2 MB. File types supported are: .jpg, .pdf, .tiff, .jpeg, .png. After you have uploaded the requested documents, click on "Submit" button to submit the AADHAAR Card change request.

Finally the system will give you "Update Request Number" (URN) for your AADHAAR Card correction that you just submitted. Save this URN number for future reference and to track your change request. The submitted AADHAAR Card correction will be verified by UIDAI and on verification the correction will be updated in your AADHAAR Card. Status of youir AADHAAR Card change request will be intimated by SMS to your registered mobile number. To check your AADHAAR Card correction status, click here.
Please note, updated AADHAAR Card will be delivered at the registered address only in case of update / correction in Name, Address, Date of Birth and Gender. For change of Phone Number, the notification will be sent on the new phone number through SMS.
